Hi,
I was just browsing through the website and came accross you posting so thought i would leave a comment.
We recently moved from the UK (Bradford, Yorkshire) 3 years back now and we are living in Summerland in the Okanagan Valley and its a great place to live. We have the Okanagan lake at the bottom of the hill, lots of beaches and mountains for snowboarding.
It's a really safe place to live and a great place to raise kids, everyone says hello to everyone and you can leave yor doors unlocked.
My kids find it to quiet as they are 19 and 22; so depends on the age of your children.
I would say the only drawback living here is the wages are lower than the cities and work can be hard to find unless you have a trade etc.
I love to visit Vancouver but cant really comment on the state of affairs there as i dont know but what i do know moving from London to Vancouver is a big step in the right direction.
