Sidney Spit on Sidney Island offers visitors sandy beaches, extensive tidal flats, salt marshes, rolling meadows and spectacular views, making the marine park at Sidney Spit well worth the visit. The spit is home to fallow deer and a unique varieties of shore birds.

Located across from the town of Sidney on Vancouver Island, Sidney Spit can only be accessed by private boat or by a seasonal foot-passenger ferry from Sidney.

The Sidney Spit ferry departs daily from the Sidney Pier at the bottom of Beacon Avenue. The Marine Adventure Centre is the terminal for the Sidney Spit Ferry. Tickets can be purchased 15 minutes prior to sailing times from the ticket booth adjacent to the Pier Bistro Restaurant located on Sidney Pier, adjacent to the ferry terminal.
