Quinsam
River
The Quinsam River is a small stream that flows northeast from
Quinsam Lake and enters the Campbell River approximately 2,5km upstream
from its mouth.
Fishable length on the Quinsam River is 10km in the lower reaches,
with point access from good trails leading off numerous roads (Quinsam
Road, Duncan Bay and Elk River logging mainlines).
Fishing pressure
on the Quinsam River is heavy, but catch success is maintained by
a productive hatchery program. Winter steelhead, cutthroat trout
and fall coho account for the river's popularity.
