Premier Listings for Kennedy River Bog

Kennedy River Bog is adjacent to the south bank of the Kennedy River, just below its outlet from Kennedy Lake, in the Pacific Rim region of Vancouver Island.

Unlike most west coast bogs, which are highly acidic, this 11-hectare park protects a low moor, low acid bog. Kennedy River Bog Park offers great opportunities for nature study and wildlife appreciation, and is being considered for Ecological Reserve status.

Visitors can enjoy a peaceful paddle by canoe or kayak down the river from Kennedy Lake. Along the way they will be rewarded with scenic views of the river landscape and bird habitat. The nearest boat launch for car-toppers, canoes and kayaks is adjacent to the Kennedy River Bridge.
