Crystal Mountain Resort, north of Westbank in the Okanagan region of British Columbia, has remained closed since a chairlift malfunction and deropement in March 2014, that injured four people. The ski resort did not operate for the 2014-15 and subsequent seasons because of the incident and the need to make safety changes required by the BC Safety Authority.
