Dani Gal’s monumental project, “Historical Records (2005-ongoing),” is an impressive collection of over 700 commercially released vinyl LPs, accumulated by the artist since the turn of the century. Over time, the collection expanded and was divided into three parts. The Polygon Gallery is currently exhibiting Part 1, spanning from 2005 to 2018 and consisting of 246 records, sourced from the Collection of Migros Museum in Zürich, in its ground floor gallery. This compellingly diverse work serves as the focal point of Dani Gal’s inaugural exhibition only in Canada.
