We’re excited to announce Shay Kuebler’s MOI – MOMENTUM OF ISOLATION, running from Wednesday, March 6, to Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Firehall Arts Centre. Produced by Radical System Art, this production delves into themes of loneliness and isolation, shedding light on the importance of social bonds and connections in our lives. Through a captivating exploration of both individual and societal experiences, the play navigates the evolving landscape of modern society, heavily influenced by digital advancements. Integrating live interactive video and sound, MOI – MOMENTUM OF ISOLATION vividly portrays the impact of technology on our lives, showcasing its dual capacity to empower and disempower. The performance also emphasizes the profound effects of isolation through solo acts and the portrayal of extended social isolation by one character, whose interactions are solely with inanimate objects. Through expert puppeteering and stagecraft, the inanimate world springs to life, underscoring the disruptive nature of social isolation on our perception of reality. Firehall Arts Centre’s Artistic Producer, Donna Spencer, praises Shay Kuebler’s dedication to crafting thought-provoking works that resonate with the human experience. MOI stands as a powerful testament to this dedication, exploring themes of isolation and loneliness that have become increasingly relevant in today’s world. Join us for an unforgettable experience from March 6 to 9 at Firehall Arts Centre. For more information: https://www.firehallartscentre.ca/event/m-o-i-momentum-of-isolation/
