- The Horseshoe Bay terminal is located 25 km northwest of downtown Vancouver. Driving instructions from Vancouver: Travel west on Georgia Street, through Stanley Park, cross the Lions Gate Bridge, and follow the Upper Levels Highway, 99-1, to Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal. The total estimated driving time from downtown Vancouver is 25 minutes, depending on traffic conditions

Visitors to the Sunshine Coast are in for a treat. The unique charm of this getaway destination is discovered in the small seaside communities nestled along the scenic drive north along Highway 101. To reach Powell River on the Upper Sunshine Coast, drive north from Vancouver to Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver, take the ferry to Langdale on the Sechelt Peninsula (4 miles/6.4 kms northeast of Gibsons), then drive north on Highway 101 through Sechelt to Earls Cove. The approximate driving time from Langdale to Sechelt is 30 minutes. The road distance between the Langdale Ferry Terminal and Earls Cove Ferry Terminal is 84 km (52 miles), approximately 90 minutes driving time along the scenic Sunshine Coast. From Earls Cove, the ferry crosses Jervis Inlet to reach Saltery Bay and the Upper Sunshine Coast (Malaspina Peninsula). The distance between Saltery Bay and Powell River is 34 km (22 miles).
