Sun Peaks Resort is an international four-season resort north of Kamloops in the Thompson Nicola region of British Columbia. Known for its sunny climate, Sun Peaks Resort receives more than 2,000 hours of sunshine per year, and more than five metres of snow. There are 121 runs to choose from, spread over the second largest skiable terrain in B.C. They can take you anywhere from the open glades of Mt. Sun Peak’s Director of Skiing is Olympic Gold Medalist Nancy Greene, one of the best known names in Canadian skiing. Her success at the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, France made a lasting impression on Canadian skiers and non-skiers alike.
Sun Peaks Resort is located 31.5 miles (50 km) from Kamloops. Sun Peaks is easily accessible from Vancouver (4-1/2 hours), Seattle (5-1/2 hours), Banff (6-1/2 hours) on the Trans-Canada Highway 1, and from Jasper (5 hours) on the Yellowhead Highway.
