Premier Listings for Prudhomme Lake Provincial Park

Prudhomme Lake, on the north side of the highway, holds a number of forested islands, and is flanked by a small provincial park. It’s also the closest public campground for those connecting with BC Ferries’ Inside Passage route and the ferry to neighbouring Alaska.

The small Prudhomme Lake is perfect for paddlers and anglers. The waters around Prudhomme Lake support steelhead, rainbow trout and Dolly Varden. In August and September, salmon spawning occurs in Diana Creek.

Prudhomme Lake Provincial Park includes 24 vehicle/tent campsites. Facilities provided include water, firewood and pit toilets. Park fees are collected from May to September.

For a dip in refreshing water, sunbathing, or a walk along a rain-forest nature trail, Diana Lake Provincial Park, adjacent to Prudhomme Lake Provincial Park, is a much frequented day-use area with facilities close to Prince Rupert.

Prudhomme Lake Provincial Park is located in northern British Columbia, 10 miles (16 km) east of Prince Rupert on Highway 16.
