Taylor Arm Provincial Park is a forested site located on the north shore of Sproat Lake, west of Port Alberni on Vancouver Island. Sproat Lake offers swimming, fishing and paddling, with hiking trails following the shoreline and leading up the mountain ridges overlooking the park.
The park features an astounding number of undeveloped campsites, and is particularly popular with groups such as the Boy Scouts.

A trail to the lake and beach leads through a highway underpass and takes approximately 10 minutes. These group sites are reservable. This 79-hectare park is pleasantly wooded, with walking trails leading from the large rustic campground to the beach and day-use area on Sproat Lake. Hiking trails lead beside the lake and onto the mountain ridges above the park, which are slowly beginning to regenerate after having being clear-cut in the 1970s.
Swimming opportunities exist in Sproat Lake, which can be accessed by trails from either the Camp 10 day-use area or the group campground. There are no lifeguards on duty at provincial parks.
Paddling opportunities exist at this park, but visitors will have to walk down the trail to the lake (approximately 10 minutes) with their vessels. Camp 10 is the best location to set in canoes and kayaks.
Picnic facilities, drinking water and pit toilets are provided. All amenities are available in Port Alberni. Regular campsites catering to vehicles and small groups are available at Sproat Lake Provincial Park and Stamp Falls Provincial Park.
Access to Taylor Arm Provincial Park is directly off Pacific Rim Highway 4, about 9 miles (15 km) west of Port Alberni.
