Just around the corner from Victoria’s Inner Harbour and the Ogden Point cruise ship terminal, Fisherman’s Wharf is a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered.
This unique marine destination offers food and ice cream kiosks, unique shops and eco-tour adventures in the heart of the working harbour. Wander down the docks with your lunch, buy seafood fresh off the boat, see moored pleasure vessels and float homes, and watch as working fishing vessels unload their catches.
Adventures include whale watching and wildlife-viewing tours, kayak rentals and fishing charters. Located at 1 Dallas Road in Victoria, a scenic 10-minute walk from downtown, Fisherman’s Wharf is serviced by harbour ferries from one of the many Inner Harbour pick up spots.

The eastern end of Fisherman’s Wharf is populated largely by colouful float homes, which serves as permanent homes to their owners, just steps from the bustling and festive commercial plaza so popular with tourists and visitors. The residents share their lively neighbourhood with harbour seals, herons, eagles, geese, cormorants, gulls, otters and raccoons.
If you can’t make it down to Fisherman’s Wharf, you can entertain yourself at home by watching Eagle Wing Tours’ underwater live streaming Seal Cam located near their office in Fisherman’s Wharf. You may see river otters, harbour seals, a variety of small fish such as perch, stickleback, herring and salmon, and jellyfish, plankton, and crab larvae.
Fisherman’s Wharf was built after the Second World War to accommodate commercial fishing vessels, opening in March 1948. Located in Victoria’s Middle Harbour, the original 120-metre (390 foot) wharf could moor 60 fish-packing ships along six finger float piers.
