Located southwest of Clinton in the Cariboo is the delightful 11,883-hectare Edge Hills Provincial Park, where sagebrush grasslands as well as montane pine and spruce forests create excellent opportunities for nature observation. The area also protects cultural heritage sites.
The surrounding forested hills are a perfect place for hiking, backpacking and trail riding. Wilderness, backcountry or walk-in camping is allowed, but no facilities are provided.
Nearby provincial parks offering campgrounds are Big Bar Lake Provincial Park, northwest of Clinton, Downing Provincial Park, and Loon Lake Provincial Park, tucked into a mixed Douglas fir and ponderosa pine forest east of Clinton. Close by is the Loon Creek Hatchery, which raises kokanee salmon and rainbow trout.
Edge Hills Provincial Park is located southwest of Clinton off Highway 12 in the Cariboo region of British Columbia.
