Premier Listings for Green Inlet Marine Provincial Park

Green Inlet Marine Provincial Park is set in a scenic fiord on the east side of Tolmie Channel across from Princess Royal Island and just off the Inside Passage marine route to Alaska.
Green Inlet is deep and rugged, and offers a sheltered all-weather anchorage at Horsefly Cove near its mouth, sheltered from the weather and just a stone’s throw from the Inside Passage. Horsefly Cove is a relatively deep anchorage – adequate chain or rope is required for safe anchorage. On its south side, the cove is defined by islets and a high, stony spit. Submerged rocks lie close to the eastern end of the islet.

There are no facilities provided at this marine park and no camping is permitted, as the park is intended for day-use only. Nearby, but outside the park, is the tidal lagoon of Green Inlet with the fascinating reversing rapids at Baffle Point. Sea kayaking is possible, although access to the park is lengthy and requires experience – it would be better to use a motorboat to get to the inlet and use the kayak or canoe to explore the inlet.

As you cruise through the area near the park, watch for orcas, Pacific white-sided dolphins, seals and other marine mammals.

The 36-hectare Green Inlet Marine Provincial Park is located on the east side of Tolmie Channel, across from Princess Royal Island and just west of Fiordland Conservancy. The park is 123 miles (196 km) south of Prince Rupert and accessible by boat only. Supplies are available at Klemtu or Bella Bella.
