scenic Naramata Bench Road in Penticton, British Columbia, where breathtaking
lake and moutain views surround our vineyard. Our winery is a place
where quality wines are developed and presented; where artists and
musicians showcase their talents; and where people from around the
world gather together and appreciate it all!
They say that
life’s a journey, not a destination, and for Red Rooster Winery’s
entrepreneurial founders, Prudence and Beat Mahrer, this couldn’t
be more true. One of the most important journeys of their lives
began in 1990, when the plucky couple emigrated from Basil, Switzerland
to the South Okanagan. They purchased an orchard in the tiny, picturesque
village of Naramata. Seeing the potential for locally produced wines,
they converted their orchard into grapevines. With the help of a
wine consultant; the Mahrer’s learned the fine art of winemaking.
Not only are
you compelled to have fun, but you will learn all you need to know
about the art of winemaking and tasting. Red Rooster Winery is determined
to maintain a very high quality standard in all their wines, ranging
from sparkling to red and white table wines to dessert wines.
Relax for a
while on our patio, overlooking the vineyard and the Okanagan lake.
We serve light snacks, but you are also very welcome to bring your
own picnic.
Our wines are
available in all VQA Wine Stores, along with many fine restaurants
and local specialty shops throughout the Okanagan, the Lower Mainland,
and Vancouver Island as well as in Alberta.

Guided Tours are available daily: 1pm and 3pm
